Ya... The 780ti was fine, but games are quite tough nowadays, particularly with ultra settings. For the Strix 1080, I went with the advanced version, not an OC. I did some research and thought spending extra for an Asus OC wouldn't be worth it. I ended up because I got a decent chip. I also read that OC models are guaranteed to work while the advanced model I got was unreliable...

I should mention I used the Asus GPU Tweak II, but switched back to afterburner since it caused some issues... Hope this helps if you're considering one...

BTW, I've heard many crypto miners are selling their 1070s on eBay because prices are dropping. You might find a cheap card if you're looking that way...

Adamscurr shared his experience about the 780ti and Strix 1080. He mentioned he chose the advanced model without overpaying for an OC, as he found the extra cost wasn’t worth it. He noted that while he used Asus GPU Tweak II, he switched to afterburner due to issues. He also pointed out that many crypto miners are selling their 1070s on eBay because of falling prices, suggesting you might find a cheaper card if you're interested. He plans to buy an OC Strix 1080 this Tuesday and is excited about it.
