Here’s a rewritten version of the text, focusing on clarity and detail:

“I'm experiencing significant performance issues with my gaming PC – it’s consistently lagging and freezing during gameplay. Specifically, I’ve noticed sudden drops in frame rate (fps) that last for several seconds, often occurring every 45-90 seconds while playing games like Counter-Strike Global Offensive. At times, the fps plummets to as low as 5-10, making the game unplayable.

The problem seems intermittent; after a restart, the performance usually returns to normal for around 30 minutes to an hour before the lag starts again. I initially suspected overheating, but both my CPU and GPU rarely exceed 55°C even during extended gaming sessions. I’ve also investigated potential memory leaks by monitoring resource usage in Task Manager, but it doesn't consistently show high memory utilization.

I’m seeking suggestions on how to diagnose and resolve this issue. Specifically, what tests should I run? Are there any specific troubleshooting steps I can take to identify the root cause of the problem – perhaps driver issues, software conflicts, or a hardware malfunction?”

tennis2 :
Was working fine, now not. Sounds like a software problem. Have you run any thorough virus scans or checked background processes?
I bought and installed bitdefender yesterday and did a full system scan and it didn't find anything. I have checked my processes. I havent seen anything eating at my usage but I'm not 100% on some of the small things that are running.
