When using an old, poor-quality membrane keyboard, everything functions perfectly. However, with any of the three new mechanical keyboards, I experience ghosting on movement keys (such as W + Space, W + A, W + D) and other issues. These problems persist even when using different computers. It seems my computer might have compatibility issues with certain keyboards or mechanical setups.

I'm currently using my third mech keyboard, after experimenting with a few that didn't work and were sent back to Amazon. I haven't experienced these issues myself, nor have I ever come across such problems before. It's still puzzling for me, but during the process of choosing a mech, I've read that some devices don't integrate well with other brands' hardware, mainly because of their software. Even Corsair, despite being large, still faces challenges with their iCUE software causing similar issues.

I'm not too bothered by these third-party software problems since the main issue usually lies in the RGB lighting code they use, which I haven't been affected by. My focus is more on the physical aspects.

Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information.
What are the specifications of the keyboards? Source?
Did you install and set up the keyboard drivers yourself? Windows 10?
Consider using the built-in troubleshooters to locate and resolve issues.
Alternatively, run "sfc /scannow" through the Command Prompt.

Thank you for the reply!
Windows 10 Home, x64-based PC
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor
Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE Motherboard
Keyboards tested on this machine:
HyperX Alloy FPS Pro
Durgod Taurus K320 TKL
(both the Cherry Silent Red and Cherry Silver)
No drivers found to install. Currently using the HyperX, nothing available on their site. It seems straightforward plug-and-play.
Performed a scan and resolved some issues, but keyboard issue remains.
Tried various USB ports to check for compatibility but it didn’t help.
Confused why an older UtechSmart Saturn 7 Colors Backlit USB Multimedia Gaming Keyboard works perfectly, while these expensive mechanical keyboards don’t, and no one seems to discuss this problem online.

Consider resetting the keyboard factory settings on Page 7 of the User Manual.
Links provided include support pages and firmware downloads.

Thank you for the suggestions, but unfortunately there was no success. I’m unsure if the issue lies with my computer since the old membrane keyboard functions properly. It seems the problem might be with the keyboards themselves, as they work fine on another machine. Perhaps I should return this keyboard and try a different one that could fit my system better. It’s strange that nobody complains about these keyboards.

It really depends on where you want to go with the issues.
You can reach out to technical support via email and describe the problems. There should be documentation available for an RMA, and hopefully HyperX will respond with a solution.
Additionally, I plan to transfer this discussion to PC Gaming, which might bring in new ideas and suggestions.

I'm currently using my third mech keyboard after several attempts that didn't work out, which were then sent back to Amazon. I haven't experienced these issues myself, nor have I ever come across such problems before. It's still puzzling for me, but during the process of choosing a mech, I've read that some devices don't integrate well with other brands' hardware, mainly because of their software. Even Corsair, despite being large, continues to face challenges with their iCUE software.

What helps me is not installing the included software. If it installs automatically, try removing it via Control Panel > Programs and Features. This might reveal what's causing the issue. Many newcomers to mechs go through various brands before finding the right one, so purchasing from a platform like Amazon that offers full refunds within a month makes sense.

This doesn't mean every third-party software has these problems—it's more frequent in major brands that sync their software with other peripherals they produce, such as iCUE. This could explain why your budget membrane board didn't have the same issues. It really depends on how advanced the software is. Based on reviews and discussions with Corsair, I'd advise avoiding syncing-type software unless you're certain it won't cause trouble. It's a risky move, in my opinion.
