I received several drives from a closed store. Before anyone asks, I legally obtained these parts and machines, all with windows. Some start with Windows 7, others with XP, and they all have windows open. It’s odd how one boots up with XP while another runs Windows 7. Would it be possible to fully reset these systems so they work normally? No, I’m not seeking any details and definitely not trying to bypass rules. I just want to get them running properly.

I might have taken that action if I possessed a Windows key.

Organize your drives for easy access.
Choose any Linux distribution you prefer.
Download it and prepare your system.

it resembles that "classic theme" – you can revert to the standard theme, but if your drives contain data, I’d recommend deleting everything before wiping them clean and reinstalling. you might want to use a tool to extract all activation keys and note them down.

It seems you're dealing with similar hardware setups. You might need to use specific diagnostic tools depending on the machine model. The older models with Vista keys could be easier to troubleshoot, while newer systems may require different approaches. Try checking the manufacturer's support resources or contacting their service team for guidance.

They’ve probably secured these devices by the admin to prevent interference from cash register staff. First, secure admin credentials. Next, extract activation keys from the registry using a suitable tool—especially on a Windows 7 system, not Windows XP. You might also need BIOS access to boot from external drives. Many guides online explain the process in detail.
