Computer Runs Extremely Slowly Post-Overclocking. Mouse Responses Delay and Performance Loss
I attempted to overclock my system, and it functioned properly until bedtime. It began to feel unusually slow, the mouse became smaller, and it stopped returning to its previous position. I could relocate it, but it left a noticeable path behind. RAM checks came back normal. I stayed within the safe zones recommended by my motherboard for both CPU and RAM. I also increased the memory for my internal GPU, as the graphics card is still pending delivery. I performed several tests with overclocking, changing one setting at a time, and even reset all settings except the boot order. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
It seems like the power-related part of the motherboard is being affected. Could you clarify how you're overclocking? What model of motherboard are you using, and what are the specifications of your power supply? You mentioned a previous wireless mouse that didn't work well, which led you to use it for downloading an app and then fixing things afterward. The software was uninstalled, and you managed to speed up the system by adjusting a boot switch on the motherboard. Your processor runs at 4.5Ghz and RAM at 3000MHz. Thanks for your help!
