Computer Reboots During Gameplay
Hello there,
My computer keeps restarting during gameplay for a month now. Initially, it only impacted a few games, but now almost all of them cause problems. My system specs are Intel i7-4790K CPU, Maximus VII Hero motherboard, GeForce GTX 770, and 16 GB RAM. I checked temperatures and power supply voltage while playing CS:GO. The results are available here: https://imgur.com/a/W5aPz. I think a small overclock of about 9.9% might be the cause. How can I safely lower my CPU speed back to the default 4000 MHz using the BIOS on the Maximus VII Hero motherboard?
How many watts does your PSU consume? It seems like you might not be receiving sufficient power for your PC. Reverting the overclock would assist, and resetting the BIOS to its default settings is the most secure approach if you're unsure about proper underclocking.
