You recently upgraded your CPU, RAM, and motherboard. After installing the new components, you faced issues during BIOS updates. You managed to get Windows reinstalled successfully, but the system would freeze on the monitor, showing error messages before shutting down. Someone suggested unplugging the monitor and restarting the PC, which resolved the problem. Reconnecting the monitor worked fine afterward. Any tips for future setups?

I've encountered the same problem when buying 7900XTX. My PC wouldn't send data with the DP cable plugged in and the monitor turned off. A Reddit user suggested covering one of the DP cable pins, which helped resolve the issue. EDIT: I'm facing the same situation—I get the monitor backlight working but no image or data transmission.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot once I'm back.

It's strange because the problem only appeared two days ago after I replaced the motherboard with a new CPU and RAM. I thought it was probably the motherboard itself, since the GPU and DP worked fine before. I'm still puzzled about why it started after switching from PCIe 3.0 to 5.0.

The problem started after upgrading from 3090 to 7900xtx. Based on my observations, it's linked to the newer DP standard on AMD 7000 GPUs. A few aspects in custom PC construction can be surprising to consider.
