I’m completely unfamiliar with computer troubleshooting. A year ago my machine wouldn’t start and its monitors refused to connect. Changing the RAM slots fixed it temporarily, but now I’m stuck again. After trying a few fixes—removing the RAM, swapping it in, and using CMOS jumpers—it didn’t help much. Eventually I had to reset it by removing the CMOS battery and reinserting it. Now I’m stuck in BIOS mode, and it looks like my Windows is corrupted. I’m trying to reinstall from an ISO but need to convert it to a bootable USB drive. Plus, after resetting the RAM, I can’t get into BIOS anymore. I’m really confused and hoping someone can guide me through this so I can play Minecraft with my girlfriend. Thanks for your help!

Check with one stick to see if it boots correctly, then test the other to determine if it's damaged. Also, recall whether you installed the latest graphics driver—this might resolve the issue.

It functioned with a RAM stick, booting into BIOS. Now it keeps toggling on and off without showing anything. Edited July 10, 2024 by tmaca

It seems there might be a method for doing this on MacOS. If you're having trouble, you could try a free trial of Parallels and run it from Windows on your Macbook.

Is your system identifying the drive that received Windows installation earlier? You might need to pause for a moment. Restarting is typical during troubleshooting.

The system has reset back to its original state. It starts up normally, but the screen is blank. I suspect the issue isn’t with the monitor or cables, as they work on my sibling’s setup. Could you suggest checking other components or see if any other devices are affected?
