Considering your needs, looking into building a PC for your daughter is a great idea. She wants to enjoy Fortnite, so you'll need a good graphics card. Since you're budget-conscious, focus on finding a balance between performance and cost. Any recommendations on suitable cards would be helpful.

What processor are you using? Fortnite isn't super demanding. In reality, a range from a GTX 1080ti to an RTX 2060 should suffice.

1080ti delivers top-tier performance. You can achieve 240 fps on medium-high settings with an rx570 or 240fps on high-ultra with a 5700xt. AMD GPUs usually offer more available options, resulting in better value.

You will pay an arm and leg if you buy it now. Anything over $100 is increased to at least 50% more. Fornite is not a demanding games, this are the list of what you might want to buy: GTX1050ti GTX1650, 1660 super. RX560, 570 and 580. RX5500 All those cards are capable of doing fortnite at 60fps minimum, which is enough. I suggest getting it USED, compare them with their regular price (before inflation).

Absolutely purchase the used version; it varies based on quality. A 1000 series Nvidia or RX570/580 card works just fine.

A 1080Ti offers more power but costs more, while the RX 5700X is great for performance without breaking the bank.

1080ti offers significant speed advantages over a 5700xt, though it comes at a higher cost.

they look pretty much the same. the 1080 Ti and 5700 XT are quite comparable in terms of performance. It’s not necessary to debate it; they’re just different models of hardware.

Similar to a 1050ti or 1650 would work. For extra savings, consider a Ryzen 5 3400G or Ryzen 3 3200G (these have built-in graphics – AMD calls them APUs). With these processors, you might achieve around 60fps on low settings in Fortnite (though results could vary). I hope this assists.

Yeah, I'm not convinced a 1080ti is essential, but it doesn't seem much faster overall. Most of the time we're trading, so look for something used nearby at a fair price. A secondhand RX 570 should still be around $150 or less.
