Computer fails to start or loads slowly and switches QLED lighting patterns.
Hi everyone,
I recently swapped my motherboard from a MSI B550-M Pro-VDH Wifi to a ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming Wifi II because the first one had a problem. After setting it up, I noticed the PC would switch to QLED lighting when opened in the morning and wouldn’t boot properly. Removing the power switch cable and using a screwdriver worked this time, but today it didn’t either. Using the power switch cable again helped, though I plugged it back in and used the power button instead.
I checked the FAQ for these issues but didn’t find a fix. Once it boots, the screen shows it’s in safe mode, and I’m trying to restore UEFI settings to more stable defaults if needed. The only change I made was on the first boot with the new PC—adjusting the RAM frequency from 2133Mhz to 3200Mhz, which matches my RAM’s speed.

1. I haven't reinstalled the operating system since replacing the motherboard. The BIOS is set to version 3002.
