I start with Linux Cinnamint, past the ASUS motherboard logo, then see the loading wheel for Lonux Mint. It takes a while before it passes that point, after which the screen fades quickly—no signal appears right away, then within five seconds it switches to a black display. The no-signal screen vanishes and the monitor goes dark. I’ve connected it to other devices and it functions properly. My office PC has a B350 motherboard, a single 16GB DDR4 2400MHz stick (second slot of four), an AMD Athlon 3000G with stock cooler. It worked before; now it fails to reach the ASUS logo before going black. Two months ago I tried to troubleshoot by disassembling and reassembling it, and it now boots into the Linux loading screen. Anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?

It seems to function differently on Fedora compared to Mint. On Fedora, pressing ESC during the loading screen shows the boot log. Try this method while using the loading wheel—it might provide additional details about the process.

I started in recovery mode and it functioned after I attempted it for the fourth time.

It's a bit unusual. For future reference, if the Mint loading screen remains, try pressing ESC. If issues persist during startup, we'll address the hardware concerns.

It turns out the main issue wasn’t a long time ago because a sibling replaced the Athlon 3000G with an AMD A10-9700. After attempting to run Minecraft to test, I got a steady 2 frames per second. I’ve swapped it back to the original Athlon 3000G now, but it still shows up as a completely black screen. The signal isn’t dropping, just fully black.
