Desktop computer
ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi), BIOS 4802
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
32GB DDR4 PC4-17000
RX6600
SSD Samsung 860 EVO 1TB
Windows 11 Pro 23H2 Build 22631.3296
Last ten days the machine has begun crashing roughly twice daily, most frequently during idle mode. Attempts I've made without success:
Cleaned dust from fans and vacuumed
Swapped all RAM modules
Installed a new graphics card
Updated system drivers
Removed the newest Windows updates
Reviewed SMART status using CrystalDiskInfo ("everything appears normal")
Inspected crash dumps, no consistent pattern detected
I have another machine with identical specifications. According to HWInfo64, the only notable difference is that the affected unit displays a higher CPU package temperature—currently 66°C (peak 85°C)—compared to 56°C (peak 72°C) on the healthy machine. I’m unsure if this variation matters.
At present, I have no clear direction for further troubleshooting. Should I consider replacing the motherboard? Are there other checks I should perform?

Check the Reliability History/Monitor section for better usability and clearer crash patterns over time. Another useful resource is Event Viewer, though it demands more time and effort to explore. To assist further:

Consider that idle periods might trigger power or screen-saving features that could be faulty. Turn off these options and see if crashes persist. If they do, proceed with "dism" and "sfc /scannow" to resolve issues.

I've tried using the reliability monitor, but I'm unsure what it provides. It only indicates crashes occurred.
I'm also unclear about the Event Viewer results. The most recent event after each crash is a Distributed COM warning, though many of these are unrelated to crashes. However, crash dumps reveal crashes happening in different modules with varied stack traces.
The idle section seems irrelevant since the system crashed while I was typing.
Both DISM and SFC show no issues.
