Computer Crashing
Computer Crashing
I recently assembled a computer and have encountered problems where it frequently crashes, especially while playing video games. After rebooting, the system restarts itself. A memtest revealed hardware problems early in the testing process. I repeated the tests on each component individually, and again issues were found quickly. Swapping the memory back to the same type resolved the problem temporarily. Now I’m planning to replace the RAM with a G.Skill model from the first set and return the second set for further evaluation.
I’m trying to determine whether the issue lies with the video card or the motherboard. Here’s the build I assembled:
- G.Skill RipJaws S5 Series (Intel XMP) 32GB (2 x 16GB), 288-Pin SDRAM DDR5 6400 CL32-39-39-102, 1.40V Dual Channel Desktop Memory F5-6400J3239G16GX2-RS5K (matte black)

What BIOS version is installed on your motherboard? It might be useful to check if an update is possible for pending versions. Regarding your setup, if you detach the discrete GPU, does the system become more stable? How are you managing the cooling for the processor in your configuration?
