Computer Continues Ignoring XMP Profile Settings
Were you able to reset the CMOS after the BIOS update? This might be useful if you haven't done so yet.
Checking the speed settings on the XMP and 2666MHz configuration, is this secure or would changing it to 1.2v be better?
Task Manager displays 2667MHz, but the three verification steps were not completed.
You may attempt it at 1.2v. Verify functionality using memtest86+ or Windows Mem Diagnostic to confirm proper operation at that speed. If successful, proceed confidently. Adjust incrementally by 0.05mv—starting at 1.2 and increasing until DIMMs stabilize.
What's noteworthy is that I managed to reach 2800MHz following a reset.
Zen, Zen+, Zen2 cpus have no tolerance for 4 sticks. This is due to memory controller constraints linked with the infinity fabric. Zen+ models generally achieve 2933MHz with four sticks, while only a few reach the full 3200MHz. Achieving this speed usually demands significant adjustments such as increasing RAM voltage up to 1.4v and setting SOC voltage to its maximum of 1.2v, along with possible timing modifications. Among those stable at 3200MHz with four sticks on Zen+, most are Samsung B-die OEM parts, with Micron D-die being rare and SkHynix not available.
