Hello everyone,

I’m planning to construct a new computer system and anticipate completing the purchase within the next six months, financing it through savings and work.

My intended budget is between $1,000 and $2,000 for a mid-to-high end gaming and streaming setup.

Here’s how I plan to use the system, prioritized: Gaming (specifically titles such as Anthem, Division 2, Destiny 2), streaming on Twitch simultaneously, and creating video tutorials related to these games.

I haven’t yet decided whether or not to buy a monitor; I intend to acquire one in the future.

This will be a completely new build from scratch.

I do require an operating system.

I don’t have a specific website preference for purchasing components; I'll select the vendor offering the best value.

My location is Richmond, Virginia, USA.

I don’t have any brand loyalty when it comes to hardware choices.

Overclocking is a possibility.

I intend to utilize SLI or Crossfire graphics card technology.

My current monitor resolution is 22.5 inches.

This will be my initial computer build, and I’d appreciate any feedback on potential areas where I could have found better value regarding component selection. I've used PCPartPicker to ensure compatibility between all parts.

Any and all suggestions are welcome!

CPU: Intel Core i7-9700k (3.6 GHz, 8 Cores)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: Asus Prime Z390-A
Memory: G.Skill Aegis 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-2133
Storage: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Gaming ACX 3.0

The 212 EVO cooling system is insufficient for a 9700k processor.

I apologize; it took me some time to locate this discussion. Please disregard the private message I previously sent.

Thank you for alerting me to the cooling issue; I will begin searching for a replacement. Do you have any suggestions? Are there any other considerations I should take into account?

Considering 32 gigabytes of RAM would provide adequate memory for simultaneously streaming and playing games. Reducing this amount if possible while maintaining satisfactory performance would be highly desirable.

Consider an all-in-one liquid cooler for your processor, such as the Corsair H115i Pro. Additionally, explore a 2080 graphics card, or a 1080 Ti if you can find one.

Let’s consider an all-in-one liquid cooler for your processor, such as the Corsair H115i Pro. I’d also consider a 2080 graphics card, unless a 1080 Ti is available.

I don’t have much experience with CPU coolers, so I'll research that further. My reasoning for the 1070 is that it’s likely a good mid-range option for 1440p gaming, allowing me to play games at high or ultra settings at 1080p without significant frame drops.

I was initially leaning towards this choice, but if you believe it’s something I should reconsider for potential future upgrades, I'm open to exploring other options.
