Alright peeps, hear me out, So basically, there's this screen on amazon, could also find a cheaper version elsewhere. Same size and resolution as a Steam Deck. If I can manage to build an enclosure for the Steam Deck that has this screen on the top part of it, possibly a hinge so you can adjust the viewing angle and as well as closing for easier travel, this could easily end up as the best setup for emulating DS/DSi/3DS games possible. Do you all think there's a market big enough for this kind of product?

They offer genuine Steam Deck screens on iFixit, which could work as a substitute if you locate a controller board.

It could be interesting, though I’m uncertain about the cost. It seems mainly because I don’t find much value in my deck. You might be able to locate a suitable dock with pass-through fees and use it for screen access. The 3D model and technical drawings for the Steam Deck are available online for free if you didn’t know. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/...5208810470

I appreciate the update! I'll stick with the OEM Steam Deck display for now. The normal model is $69.99 and the etched glass version is $99.99. If I decide to move forward, I'll provide two options: one with standard glass and another with etched finish. I'll also ensure compatibility with the most common deck cases. It will take some time before it becomes a finished product, so I'll wait until I secure a job to afford the necessary gear. In the meantime, I can start designing it using the 3D models you suggested. Thanks!

Someone here might know whether the Steam Deck's display uses a typical interface. It seems likely it employs a MIPI connection, though I'm not certain about the exact standard connector it uses.
