Hello! I'm just getting started with CS Go. After playing my first 10 wins, I earned a Gold Nova Master title. I'm curious about the points or win requirements needed to climb higher ranks. Thanks for your time!

Earn points by winning, maintain a winning streak against opponents at your same skill level, and you’re likely to climb the ranks.

Generally, up to MGE you should aim for three consecutive wins featuring many MVP performances, MGE+ 4-5, and LE+ 5-10.

You're probably Silver I and need to climb the ranks. The only way to advance is through skill, not points.

they don't display it, and your standing also relies on your spot on the leaderboard and how you compare to other players.

You can improve your standing by losing and drop it when you win. The system considers your performance and the relative positions of other players.

It's rare to occur, I believe I've tied at least once during the year of playing.

In any case, your position isn't based solely on your victories or defeats, but on your overall performance.

I dropped DMG after winning, feeling exhausted and struggling to stay focused.

It also relies a lot on your current skill level. If you're playing in a DMG setup with a 5-man team and your silver friends lose, chances are you'll face a drop regardless of how well you perform.
