Hello! I'm searching for an upgradeable motherboard compatible with the i5-9600K. Currently, the Gigabyte Micro ATX model doesn't support overclocking, so I'm hoping to find something more affordable yet reliable. No internet assistance needed—let's see what I can find. Peace!

Choose a motherboard featuring the Z370 or Z390 chipset. Keep in mind that Z370 models may require a BIOS upgrade to support the 9600k speed. These units are no longer in production, and even used ones command a premium price compared to their value. Consider checking the used market for better options.

It’s unlikely to be wise to upgrade your motherboard unless you’re extremely fortunate. You’ll likely need to invest at least $50 to $100 for a Z370/Z390 board, which could easily reach $100–150. In that case, it might be smarter to replace your existing board and CPU with an i3 12100 and a B660 board instead. This option would offer better performance without breaking the bank.

I have to agree with this. You won't need to bother with any of the tuning that would be required to actually overclock the 9600k, and you haven't mentioned what kind of cooler you have... might need to spend more money on a better cooler to OC as well.

I'm trying a Corsair water cooler dual fan K1 model, but I didn't remember it. Back then, I had an overclocked i5 5600K running at 4.7Ghz with great temperatures. My previous motherboard (i5 6600K on MSI Z170A gaming M7) performed well for gaming and streaming, but because of a power issue, the GPU IC got damaged, so I had to replace it. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a compatible motherboard nearby, which made things tough. Now I'm experiencing difficulties streaming and gaming at the same time.

WEll that's True I guess. I searched them and they're quite pricy. I really don't know. So confused.
