Hi, considering your setup with a 14th gen i3 and a budget B760 board, it's best to avoid built-in BIOS support for the latest generation. Using a Gigabyte board would be safer as they can be updated without a CPU installed. (Q-Flash Plus) A 14th gen CPU may not work well on any B760 board for flashing BIOS.

Based on recent discussions online, outdated BIOS can cause boot issues. Consider using a motherboard with updates (like II or V2) or one released after the 14th generation, or opt for a model with flashback support.

I’d prefer a board that supports BIOS Flashback; it’s common for manufacturers to include this feature in their motherboards. The B760 model you consider should come with built-in support, though you can still find options without it at no additional cost. I’m not confident recommending a system based on the 14100 unless you specifically want an iGPU that matches or exceeds the performance of a 5600X—then it offers better speed and upgrade potential.

I don't find other manufacturers highlighting comparable specs on the pages for affordable B760 boards around £100. The 14100/B760 combo came to me because I require a DDR5 platform at a low cost and also need an integrated GPU. Since the current Ryzen 3 isn't available, Intel is my only option.

MSI offers the Flash BIOS Button, ASRock and ASUS refer to it as BIOS Flashback. These features aren't included on every board from these companies, but each has a similar version. You may want to choose a Gigabyte model instead, though other options exist. When comparing costs, most LGA 1700 boards are priced by Gigabyte, so this detail probably isn't crucial.
