The pairing is possible but consider the thermal concerns. The B450M-A PRO MAX II supports the 5000 series, so compatibility is technically there. However, the high-temperature issue remains a valid concern. Upgrading to the MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI AMD B550 Soket AM4 DDR4 4400(OC)MHz MATX would likely be better for stability and cooling. The new GPU offers improved airflow and better heat management, making it a more reliable choice.

I'm using a Ryzen 5600 on a budget Gigabyte B350M board and everything is working smoothly without any throttling or overheating. The MB sensor stays at a maximum of 60°C.

I’m not sure about your cooling setup. It seems a stock fan might not be sufficient.

I purchased the Deepcool ak400 mainly because I bought the tray version of the CPU. I haven’t noticed temperatures exceeding 60°C. I believe a stock cooler would still perform adequately, possibly reaching around 80°C, which seems reasonable.
