Comparison of PCIE 6+2pin and PCIE 8pin connectors
Hello everyone !
My friend recently got a new GPU for his old system (
MSI RTX 4060TI Ventus 3x OC

) and didn't purchase any extra components.
The problem is :
- When he connected the PCIE 8-pin connector to his new GPU, it didn't fit properly.
I asked him to share a picture of his connector, which looks like this:

I'm really puzzled about what this pin actually is, since it doesn't match the 8-pin (6+2) I'm using.
If anyone has any hints or suggestions, I'd appreciate hearing about what might be missing right now

Check the EPS/CPU or the PSU side of the cable for the brand and model of the power supply unit.
I should probably ask him tomorrow, but now that you mentioned it, I'm almost certain it's an EPS/CPU.
