I purchased 32GB of 2x16GB SODIMM RAM for my laptop a few months ago. It performs adequately, but I've recently noticed it operates in single-rank mode instead of dual-rank. Amazon reviews claimed it supports dual-rank, yet mine is limited to single. Testers even demonstrated dual-rank performance with images showing eight chips on each side, whereas my RAM only has four. After some investigation, dual-rank seems to deliver better stability for many apps and games. Would it be beneficial to upgrade to dual-rank RAM, or should I continue with single-rank? Since returns aren't possible due to the closed window, it's best to consider your options carefully.

RAM modules are constructed in single or dual-row configurations. Personally, I wouldn’t consider upgrading to dual-row options.

If it's only slightly, I wouldn't go ahead with the replacement.

Higher dual rank than single rank, but since it's a laptop, it doesn't matter much—won't be worth replacing if you already own it.

Recently faced comparable issues. Conducted some memory testing; Kingston’s official site allows you to select the RAM variant you wish to purchase.
