Hey guys,
My CPU is running smoothly at 4.6GHz with 1.175V and I've been doing overclocking for the last 8 days. It's always staying at that voltage even when idle. When I adjusted the settings to auto and turned on Intel Quickstep, it started idling at 0.71V and 800MHz, but the problem is that under load it would jump up to 1.215V, which is higher than the current setting. My concern is whether it's safe to keep the CPU at a steady 1.175V all the time, especially during idle.

In this forum bumps are not accepted. Try not to do that anymore. Your post is not so old that it can be considered "ignored", also. Just be a bit more patient, please.
Now, about your issue: Just leave it at a fixed voltage. 1.175 is quite low, which is really good, and there's
absolutely
no problem with having the same voltage at iddle. No reason to worry at all, it's completely safe.
The spikes you might get on auto are a lot more dangerous.
