I am considering purchasing a laptop and found these two options. Which one is better, the Asus Vivobook M415UA or the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (15ALC6)? Both have the Ryzen 5 5500U processor, 512 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM, and Radeon Vega 7 iGPU. If you need any suggestions for similar specifications, that would be very useful. Thank you.

Could you help identify the specific laptops you're interested in? The SKUs may differ based on region and stock levels. If you have any suggestions for comparable laptop features, that would be very useful. Additionally, could you share your location, budget, and preferred buying platform? Lastly, let me know what purpose the laptop will serve. This will clarify the requirements from the discussion.

Here is the information rephrased:

I found the links below:
Asus product page: https://www.asus.com/id/Laptops/For-Home...00-Series/
Lenovo listing: https://chilit.webmercs.com/lenovo-ideap...46553/l_en
I couldn't locate an official site for this model in my area, but many sellers list it on e-commerce platforms.
Budget estimate: around IDR 10.000.000 or USD 673 (based on current exchange rate).
Preferred platforms: Tokopedia or Shopee.
Location: Indonesia.
This information is intended for design purposes only.

Thank you.

My mistake,
Adobe Photoshop cc 2020
Illustrator cc 2020
Medibang or Krita
Premiere Pro cc 2017
Coreldraw 2019 (if A.I. issues arise)
Kdenlive (just in case)
I believe that's all.
Thank you.

In all honesty the laptops you've scoped aren't overkill. Rather somewhere in between of good. You could get something faster, if the budget allows but you're in good hands with either.
Just one thing though, apart from the brand name differences, the other difference is that the Asus laptop comes with a larger SSD.

Why isn't there a solved button here? Is this unusual for you or others?
