I am considering purchasing the following items:
AMD Ryzen 5 9600X for $200
ASUS PRIME B650M-R
16x2 DDR5 RAM
versus
AMD Ryzen 5 7500F for $150
ASUS PRIME B650M-R
16x2 DDR5 RAM
I understand the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X is superior overall, but is it worth the investment given it's a new generation? Since the AMD Ryzen 5 7600x is similar to the 9600X, I prefer the 9600X model.
In general, I aim for maximum performance and anything above that would cost $320, which isn't feasible.
The 7500f doesn't have built-in graphics and runs slower. I'd pick the 9600x instead. Where are you that charges such high prices for better options? The 7700x costs $243 in the US.
