I haven’t heard much about the 5600G’s improved memory controller. Personally, I’m skeptical it would match the 5500’s performance. It seems like a higher-end upgrade on a part that’s already being trimmed down and made cheaper—this doesn’t seem like a smart choice for AMD to make. Still, it does have some of the same cost-saving features as the 5600G, though I think that’s more by chance than intentional.

It seems the 5500 builds from the disabled 5600g version of igpu. Infinity fabric appears to perform better on the APUs now, which suggests the 5500 likely inherits strong clock stability features.
