I considered installing the technical preview of Windows 10 on my PC because of its appealing interface. However, I’m unsure if it might affect performance. How would you expect Windows 10 (tech preview) to perform with games compared to your current Windows 7?

It seems Matriox might be a better option since it requires fewer resources, though compatibility isn't guaranteed for every game. Keep that in mind!

You're seeing everything work with version 10, which is great!

No, I haven't experienced any performance changes since the last Windows update.

Performance improved from 7 to 8, which means you should notice at least that change.

Unnoticeable to me, my computer costs a lot and isn't your typical setup. The changes between the modded Skyrim and Battlefield 4 aren't very apparent.

Thanks for providing the details! I'm using Windows 8.1 and wasn't sure about upgrading to Windows 10... I don't believe it would make a big difference with my current setup! Planning to stay on Windows 8.1...

It's not a major jump from version 7 to 10, but it shows about a 10% boost in frames. Your 8-year-old wireless card might be causing some issues, so sticking with Windows 7 seems safer until you install an SSD.
