It should function properly in most cases. However, combining different parts might affect performance. Still, it's likely to work. If you can't budget or prefer not to buy a complete kit, this should be fine. Using it won't cancel the warranty.

As long as they match the same module, timing, and speed, they usually work well in about 99% of situations. Their performance is based on their speeds and stability at those rates, so adding another rated for the same speeds doesn’t change much. Be cautious when combining different brands, models, or specifications.

They're dual channel in Ryzen setups, which should boost performance for games and daily use. The Corsair 8GB sticks are cheaper than the 16GB model you mentioned.

You don't have to purchase the premium version if a cheaper option exists. The drawback is that the motherboard might not be compatible with Ryzen 4xxx models when they arrive next year. The board supports BIOS flashback, enabling BIOS upgrades without a processor in the socket. Just transfer the BIOS onto a USB drive, connect it to a specific USB port (indicated on the IO shield), and press a button on the shield. Allow 20-30 seconds for the update. The Max models feature a 32MB BIOS, while non-Max versions have a 16MB BIOS—the main distinction. This depends on MSI, as they might struggle to support Ryzen 3xxx and Ryzen 4xxx in the 16MB version, possibly removing support for older Ryzen chips to free up space. Dual channel matters for AMD; using two sticks can boost performance by 5-15% in apps and games. Your two sticks cost less but run at 3000MHz, whereas a single stick operates at 3200MHz. Higher frequencies bring a 2-3% boost from 3000 to 3200MHz, and up to 0.5-1.5% from 3200 to 3600MHz.
