I discovered a Ryzen 5 5500 for around 110 euros, which feels affordable in my region. Should I switch from the Ryzen 5 2600? My current motherboard is an Asrock B450m-HDV R4.0 and it can handle the CPU with a BIOS update.

Actually, an upgrade would be the 5600 (non-X), while the 5500 is merely a reduced version of the 5600G, which is significantly inferior compared to the 5600.

Are there any performance issues with your Ryzen 5 2600 in games? While it's quite similar to the 5500, the 5500 offers a more advanced design, so if your system is constrained by the CPU, you'll notice a difference. Otherwise, you shouldn't see much improvement.

The 5600 is roughly 150 euros now. I don’t think upgrading the CPU is necessary since I’m not using the PC much these days. I noticed the 5500 was affordable, so I’m wondering if this could be a good long-term investment because it’s currently on sale.

I'm connecting it to an RX 580 with 8GB RAM, but the 2600 model doesn't support sufficient memory capacity. My only option is keeping the DRAM voltage at a maximum of 1.2 volts.

You're from Germany, and the 5600 was available for 119 euros yesterday.

I come from Macedonia and find CPU prices quite expensive. I usually buy from a Kosovan shop that delivers to Macedonia quickly—about a week—which is the most affordable choice for me.
