I'm unsure which option is superior. That's why I visited to address my concerns. I have a Ryzen 7 5800X and an ID Cooling SE-207 with three Air Blazer 120R coolers. I've experimented with core overclocking and found a stable setting of 4.675 GHz at 1.3125 V. Stock 5800X reaches a max of 62°C, while all-core at 4.675 GHz stays around 50°C. AIDA 64 FPU and Cinebench R20 are stable. Using PBO OC can push some cores to 5-5.1 GHz, but it increases temperatures and power usage. Videos suggest PBO overclocking leads to higher temps and higher wattage. If you aim for 70-72°C in games, it might not be worth it unless you're willing to sacrifice performance for a few degrees.
