It doesn’t clarify whether the problem is with the CPU or PCIe slot. For a small cost, an integrated graphics card can ease many frustrations.

Absolutely, you're on the right track. I hadn't considered it from that angle, maybe because I've avoided these kinds of problems. It seems the main reason for choosing the KF route could be related to binning—only chips with functional iGPUs might qualify as KS, which could slightly affect the distribution of good K chips. This is just a guess and probably not worth the trouble of fixing video issues.

7950x3D is currently priced at $674. Even with a full refund and a 7800x3D, I’d pick this model. The additional cores were an oversight when upgrading from 3950x to 5800x3D, as my usage extends beyond just gaming. I’ve run extensive tests on it, including a 2c/4t CCD0 setup. The 7950x3D works best with the 'prefer cache' setting in the CPPC CPU options. It’s the top CPU overall, though the 7800x3D can outperform it in value.
