Just skip the spending and flash the chip. I tested a 3.7ghz all-core overclock at normal voltages—both setups worked perfectly. When I pushed to 3.8ghz, the cooling became an issue; the 240mm AIO overheated, while the 120mm model handled 3.7ghz but struggled at higher speeds. If it doesn’t stabilize, try boosting the voltage to 1.2v again.

This seems to be a test... When you run the CPU across all cores nonstop at that level, it means higher heat production and increased power consumption.

It's a very efficient chip, so power consumption isn't a concern for me. Yes or no depends on the situation. Windows 10's power management might let it slow down the clock. I keep performance mode enabled so the system runs at around 4.2ghz whenever needed. Turbo boosts to 1 core up to 3.7ghz, while all cores can reach about 3.2ghz or higher depending on the settings—baseline is 3.0ghz. I wasn't sure about these numbers before, but I'm pretty confident with what I know.
