Absolutely, it's a plus to be able to run the fans at nearly silent levels. Definitely an NH-U12S will cover the needs of a 3900X well.

I understand you’re questioning NVME’s necessity for gaming and streaming. For consistent map loading like in GTA 6, NVME might still be useful depending on your setup. Regarding your GPU upgrade, the 3000 Series consumes more power and offers better efficiency, so it’s a smart choice for long-term performance. As for your workflow, you can game on the CPU and stream using the GPU, or vice versa—whichever suits your comfort.

Maybe we don't fully understand the map sizes, but an NVMe storage would be great. It might also perform better unless you're thinking about the rumored 3080ti and 3090.

Looking at GTA 5 now? NVME can speed up map loading as you explore. I’m weighing the upgrade but think a 3080 Super is likely the best choice.

You don’t need to upgrade right away because this model lasts at least three years. It might be useful in the future, but it’s not urgent right now.

It might seem like a small change between SATA and NVMe, but if they cost the same, choosing NVMe makes sense. Without much better speed, an M.2 device eliminates the need for SATA cables and power connections. Concerning power use, we don’t have official figures on Ampere yet—it’s mostly speculation right now.

I mentioned those aren’t the choices I’m confident about. I need to watch how things unfold once I receive my CPU. Also, even a 1TB drive doesn’t have the same SATA and NVMe SSD options for the same capacity.
