Hello, would you consider investing around 100 dollars in a power adapter and some accessories instead of sticking with your 5G Wi-Fi setup? I understand your home is from the 1960s. For older homes, the electrical wiring might not support modern powerline networking. If possible, consider adding Ethernet drops where needed rather than going wired. As a backup, use an 802.11ac router.

The lowest likely age for a house to work well with an adapter would be around 10 years or older, depending on the wiring and infrastructure.

I don’t see a clear response to that inquiry, especially since a newer home might have poor wiring. However, as the building gets older, powerline connections tend to perform less effectively.
