Hello Everyone! I'm working on boosting my Q9400 on ASRock g41m vs3 Mobo, but I can't push it past 2.83ghz. I have two DDR3 2gb sticks, a 450W PSU, and the stock fan-heatsink. (I'm just starting out with overclocking)

This might be useful, though honestly there aren't any major improvements that will aid you in current games or apps. The available resources on that system don't offer much room for noticeable performance boosts. It would be better to consider a recent upgrade—something from the past few years with an updated CPU, motherboard, and RAM. Even then, it's unlikely to make a big difference if your main issue is low CPU speed and you're worried about bottlenecks.
