Hi everyone! I'm upgrading a Lenovo v14 laptop with an Athlon 3150u and 4GB RAM that's soldered to the motherboard. I'm wondering if I should add another 4GB stick in dual-channel or opt for more memory in a single channel of 4GB. Thanks in advance, and please correct any mistakes—I'm still learning English!
The setup of 4+8 is likely to use the first 8GB in dual-channel mode while the remaining 4GB in single-channel. This configuration tends to be preferable. Even without this arrangement, having sufficient storage is more valuable than speed, particularly if you're using an integrated graphics card.
