I’m aiming to upgrade to a 5900x (when available) with 32GB RAM. I’ve been comparing various bundles and it looks like the G.SKILL TridentZ RGB is the top pick for Ryzen. My question has two parts: 1. How does the Neo version differ from the non-Neo? 2. The Neo supports up to 3600 CL16, while the non-Neo can go up to 4000 CL16—though it offers double that capacity. If I plan to use this PC for a long time and want maximum performance from my CPU, should I choose the optimized 3600 CL16 instead of the 4000 CL16?

Well, this seems like a copy-paste attempt. Try using a good Samsung B-die 3200 CL14 setup and aim for frequencies like 3800/3866/3933/4000MHz (based on your CPU's maximum FCLK). Adjust the timing settings and fine-tune the secondary registers, while maintaining a stable voltage (around 1.5V or less) for continuous operation. If you're mainly interested in automatic overclocking, consider 3600 CL16 or 3600/3800 CL14. Remember, beyond a certain point, real performance gains from faster RAM are negligible. Don’t worry too much about it.

Also, note that with a 2x16GB kit, you’ll have dual-rank memory, which already boosts performance compared to single-rank configurations.

That's my approach—I lack much experience with overclocking and don’t have time to experiment right now. I was worried about potential diminishing returns, but I wasn’t sure where to focus. With so much information about Ryzen 5000 available, research is a bit challenging. Should I choose the Neo or stick with the non-Neo? From what I understand, they’re essentially the same chip, just the Neo comes pre-optimized.
