Comparing gaming with a controller console versus a PC
So I really struggle with aiming and wondered if the game itself is the problem or if my aim is just off.
I had an issue with Crysis but eventually got much better at aiming, though a long time ago I think I might have forgotten. Now, because of a back injury, I’m trying to learn aiming with a remote control.
I’m playing Battlefield 5 in single-player mode to improve my aim, but it’s still quite challenging. My question is: do any players use a remote for this game? Is it more suited for a mouse?
Would Destiny 2 be easier to master aiming with a remote or would a mouse be better?
Also, another big question is whether using a remote on console games is simpler than on PC games. Anyone have experience playing PC games with an Xbox controller? I don’t own a console and can’t test it.
Whether a game feels simpler on a controller or keyboard and mouse comes down entirely to personal preference for that control style. I tend to prefer first person shooters with a keyboard and mouse since aiming is more accurate there than with a thumbstick. On the other hand, I opt for a controller in third person games because the freedom of movement feels more intuitive compared to the limited 8 directions on a keyboard. Ultimately, try playing both options and see which suits you best. Neither will objectively boost your skills.
i don't really understand what you're talking about by a remote control, but i use an xbox controller and it works perfectly. i notice many problems with bluetooth controllers, but wired ones seem fine. i play golf, racing, fighting, and other games without issues. i think if it's a console game, the controller should work on pc too. i also guess that rpg games with lots of keyboard controls wouldn't fit well with a controller, just a guess since i don't play those.
Discussing the Xbox controller on a PC, it's worth noting that console games might feel more natural or simpler to handle with an Xbox controller compared to PC games, as the latter are often built specifically for the controller.

I would also mention that I rely on both the controller and k/m. It turns out that carefully adjusting the settings can significantly affect both accuracy and how quickly you hit your target.
i'm not part of the group that thinks a $300 mouse and $300 keyboard are essential. however, i can tell you that switching from a $15 basic model to a gaming one completely changed things. i spent $50 on a razer basilisk x hyperspeed and can't picture going back to the cheapest option.
def not implying you require a super pricey mouse, just a good one makes a big difference. i don’t know much about keyboards since i still use the one included with the $15 bundle.
lol
I use a controller because it makes moving characters easier in the games I play. I noticed the controller quality is important: I tried an inexpensive Amazon one and had trouble with thumbstick aiming. After that, I switched to a wired Xbox controller, which works much better for aiming.
