Hello everyone! I'm considering a replacement for my B350 motherboard since it's outdated and lacks modern features such as StoreMI. I'm torn between the Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero (Wi-Fi) and the Asus ROG Strix X570-E. The Crosshair VII Hero uses a 400-series chipset, includes an LED display, and is more affordable on eBay or Newegg compared to the latter's reputation for being low-quality. The X570-E offers a 500-series chipset, supports WiFi 6, and PCIe 4.0—compatible with my Ryzen 5 3600. Neither upgrade is urgent, but I want to plan ahead as my current board is nearing the end of its life. My GPU is already capable for demanding games, so I’ll wait until the hype around the RTX series fades and prices stabilize. Any suggestions?

I won’t consider any B-series components since you require full SATA access (all 6 or 8 ports). Unless the X570-E has an unexpected capability, I believe a Crosshair VII Hero with Wi-Fi would be ideal—they’re commonly found on eBay for $150 to $200.
I own Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi (connected to 3900X). Excellent motherboard. Strong VRM design, stable chipset performance, solid build quality. Both M2 slots support full PCIe 4 speed. Nice BIOS setup. Take it.
