I haven't logged in much lately, but about six months ago (when I last played) I had trouble locating servers with a solid player base in the EU. Most were TDM servers with around 48 or 64 players—or even wild numbers like that. Classic conquest mode servers with enough players were rare. I only found them when they were free, and I played about 300 hours before getting bored (and at the same time, servers started disappearing). I wouldn't suggest buying a struggling game, especially with the new version coming soon. Unless you can find a copy for around 5 euros or less, it might be worth it at that price. At sales, prices often drop to about 10 euros on Origin—if you're okay spending that amount.
