Thanks for the feedback! It looks like we should proceed separately. I believe the initial part of buying these items is checking compatibility with my ISP, right?

SB6183, CM500, CM600 are the Docsis 3.0 models often recommended. Avoid any Docsis 3.0 32-channel devices—they use the Puma 6 chip and tend to cause problems. For a gigabit upgrade or current Gigabit service, you’ll need a Docsis 3.1 modem.
