It's a fair bet to choose 9700x if you're looking to cut costs. The R6 Siege could feel different from CS2, but it's still a similar setting with a smaller map and five players per side. 9800x3D performs better than 9700x in CS2. If you have top-tier hardware and can afford it, it's ultimately up to you to decide what you want to purchase.

RS6 differs from other models because of its distinct engine and age, which affect CPU and GPU performance. The RS6 depends more on the CPU for destruction effects, causing it to fluctuate based on usage patterns. In contrast, CS2 relies more consistently on the CPU over extended periods, applying steady load rather than bursts. This variation stems from differences in source and source 2.

These titles rely heavily on CPU performance for frame rates. When rounded to 20 FPS, both games achieve around 600 FPS using AM5+4090.

I'm only noting that their approach differs from how the CPU loads

Zen 4 offers some IPC drawbacks, yet its frame rates are impressively quick. It's surprising to notice my mobile Zen5 CPU reaching a higher single-core speed compared to my 7950X3D.
