Varies by maker. For Dell it might work, but with other brands could differ. I think since it's just an upgrade, removing the seals shouldn't void any warranty.

From my perspective, a 4GB boost wouldn't make much difference right now. But if you go to 16GB, it would really add value.

What I mean is choosing between two 8GB or four 4GB sticks, depending on the number of RAM slots you have.

I shared previously that my laptop features just two RAM slots, one of which is permanently connected to the motherboard (4GB).
