Currently, the 5800X is offered at $569 CAD versus the 5900X at $769. That’s roughly a $166 USD difference for you in the US. Is that justified? I’m really considering the 5800X but if it’s worth the higher cost, I can afford it since GPUs are still unreliable. For now, I’ll stick with my 2060. I’m aware there are thermal concerns with the 5800X, but I’m using an open-loop setup with 720mm of airflow, so cooling shouldn’t be a problem.

The 5800X doesn't provide superior frames in games, and the Ryzen 5 5600X isn't significantly slower than it performs.

It varies based on the game and display settings. For a RTX 2060 it doesn't really affect performance much, and at higher resolutions it's still not a big issue. I'd suggest 5600x or 11400f for gaming and streaming, while a 5900x might suit content creators better. The 5800x on sale isn't worth the money.
