The 3700X isn't terrible for gaming, especially when paired with top-tier graphics cards and for high-refresh-rate play in many recent games. However, if you don’t need eight cores, the 5600X offers a more suitable option.

Boosting resolution usually doesn’t add extra tasks to the CPU. In fact, it often reduces the workload on the GPU since it handles fewer pixels while the CPU manages the overall frame rate.

The 3700X would cover 1440P gaming as long as you don’t aim for top FPS. It still works well with a 3070 or 3080 A 5600X, though not significantly. I’ll hold off until the official launch and benchmark results are available.

so stil 10-20 more, which is way sprth is for the same price, though I thought 10900k was more likw 20-30 better that 3700x.

When setting up the cooler, remember that the 3700X includes the Wraith Stealth instead of the Wraith Prism found on the 5600X. This means it will tend to be quieter when you first use it.
