I'm evaluating a RAM upgrade from 16GB to 32GB and comparing two options. The first is the G.SKILL Trident Z RGB at 3600MHz C18 for $145, while the second is the same model with 16GB but lower latency at $185. I want to know if the performance gap matters given my usage—gaming, schoolwork, streaming, and occasional video editing. Thanks!

I’d hold off on purchasing RAM until Black Friday, or wait for the kit from @xg32 if you’re patient. The distinction between them isn’t obvious unless you regularly test your setup with synthetic benchmarks.

I’m not confident about purchasing from Newegg again. You might find great offers on eBay if you're willing to wait. RAM comes with a lifetime warranty, so there’s essentially no chance of issues.

Absolutely, that's quite surprising. The warranty clearly isn't meant to be passed along between owners. It's intended just for the original buyer.

It's not accurate. They simply forward it, and you receive a revised version. The same applies to HDDs, Intel CPUs, etc.
