You're considering replacing your current mini ITX build with a different RAM configuration. The 2400g build now has 1660GB, while you have an R5 1600 at home. Decide based on performance needs and compatibility.

Usually the G series is reserved for situations without a GPU since they provide built-in graphics. I’d suggest going with the 1600 instead.

2400g and 1600 both belong to the same batch: Zen 1600 features 6c/12t, while 2400g equals 4c/8t. The latter is preferable.

Not always, a few parts from the 1600s use 12nm zen instead of 14mm zen, which is similar to R5 2600

I understand exactly what you're discussing. The "af" isn't part of the official CPU name—it's just two letters in the middle of the model number. The person mentioned having a 1600, and it could be the version with 'ae' or 'af' in the numbering. This brings me back to my previous comment. I'm trying to provide accurate details, but it seems there might be some confusion about which post you were referring to. Did you get a message about receiving something? The original poster didn't say they were getting anything, just that they had a 1600 available.
