I'm assisting my girlfriend with her gaming and streaming PC upgrade. We discovered a bundle: ASUS ROG Strix Z390-F GAMING paired with Intel Core i5-9600K for $447.33, and separately the ASUS ROG Strix B450-E Gaming with AMD Ryzen 5 3600X for $411.59. While the 5.6GHz i5 and Z390-F are similar, I’m not familiar with the pros and cons of these motherboards or their chipset differences. Could you help decide which option offers better value?
First, the dark font bothers a lot. Second, the main change between the models is the Z390’s improved power delivery—though it’s not huge. It does support SLC but that’s not much of a plus. The 3600 with the B450 offers better IPC and six extra threads, making it simpler overall.
