I've been searching for a wireless internet adapter for Windows 8.1. Every time I find one, the title mentions support for Vista, 7, 8, or 8.1, suggesting these versions shouldn't work together. However, the description only lists compatibility with Vista, 7, and 8 but not explicitly with 8.1. This inconsistency is confusing me a lot. Could you help clarify this?

They're essentially identical, just using various file names. About 90% of the time, if it backs up version 8, it also supports version 8.1.

Windows 8.1 is viewed as a patch, similar to a service update, for Windows 8.
