I've played consistently at 4k-1080p with 60hz and kept VSync enabled through game settings or the NVIDIA control panel. There have been no screen tearing issues. My new TV might cause problems with G-Sync, but I'm not sure if it's the only concern. Does G-Sync provide benefits beyond preventing screen tearing? Also, I'm experiencing screen tearing on the PS5 ACV despite a smooth frame rate.

It depends on your usage, though I might be mistaken. Vsync is simpler in its method, which can lead to some ghosting. Until now, I assume you were using gsync.

Gsync focuses on improving performance by eliminating stutter and reducing frame drops, not just preventing screen tearing. It helps maintain smooth gameplay even when FPS fluctuates, though it doesn’t always solve tearing issues. Many users don’t rely on VSync because Gsync offers better stability, especially in games that struggle with high FPS targets. Personal experience varies—some avoid it due to latency concerns, while others don’t notice the benefits.
